Thera using those vocals... oh man what has happened over the last 3 years :P

That's how it's done!

I only listened because of the title, I saw the vocals coming. When did he start producing nu?

Theracords got popular.

But the vocals are better then the vocals in normal cheese-style. These create a sort of dramatic atmosphere.
Make it Raw. Make it Gorey. Make it not musical.

i wouldn't call it nu. it's more hard trance. but who cares, it's good. you guys and your hating and labeling music. i'll never understand it. i think he's improved in the last 3 years personally

Music skillwise he has, the actual productions he hasnt. Before he was very original, now it's just the same as the rest of the pack :\

I label stuff so I know what I like and dont like. Easy concept. If I didnt put a label on it I might listen to it by accident and that would suck.

cos Thera makes nustyle now doesnt he Anth? lolol

He doesnt pitch his kicks and has no interest in doing so!!!

But I don't like "Its a fine day" at all - no other version comes close to the Mike Koglin 2002 trance remake <3. "Therafied" isn't my thing either but the "Disturbia" remix is lovely, but no where near the original ofc!

i'd call this nustyle (nu = new, not the way hardstyle used to be made)

the intro to that disturbia remix is fucking sweet, and the track as a whole > thera's by a long shot imo

Pitched kicks are not what makes nu-style nu-style. There's more to it.

Maybe what Paul said is more accurate.

so you mean they worry about things like mastering and not just ripping out blutonium boy's sample packs to make a tune? right.

i also lol'd at "i might end up listening to something i don't want to, that would suck". then i realised you were serious...

who cares. sweet release.

Well i bought a DJ Hidden & Broken Note release blindly the other day expecting awesome dnb, but got dubstep and was bitterly disappointed. That's the problem.

That kind of thing happens when you listen to more than one genre ;)

Well as far as I'm concerned, the kicks do - along with the triplet structure and excessive breakdowns (but the kicks are the main problem). Besides, all of Thera's melodic tracks have gated kicks - ie closer to hardtrance - DBD style, etc

i'm guessing this is a dig at me, but it just shows you don't really know me or what i listen to ;)

Wow, an artist steps out and tries something new and cops a beat down.
Variety is nice as long as their sound stays theirs. I'm not a fan of this but I'm sure all his work wont follow this....
