lol when I was in Melbourne a few years ago, hanging out with divid3d and this guy Marshy off inthemix at 3D, we were having a dance and Marshy goes "so what do you reckon of Melbourne hardstyle eh" and I had to explain to him that it wasn't hardstyle, the DJ was playing uplifting trance

Alright, so this is about noobs but complete opposite to usual:
I got someone listening to hardstyle, they listened to a handful of tracks and commented that they liked the zany ones. I then gave them a donkey rollers track, and they were like "hey, this sounds like a zany track". After not having heard hardstyle before in their life 30 minutes previous.
How's that for a good ear?
And yet, they still have trouble differentiating between the kick and the melody.
