Hey everyone so normally stuff like this would be posted in the tutorials section however i feel as though that doesnt get the MOST views :P

Anyway i was wondering if anybody could maybe help give me some tips and tricks so i could create a solid intro complete with a catchy "mini" melody and hopefully effects that would help create the perfect atmosphere for a track! I am pretty confident with melodies that i create but feel as though no true progress is made without a good intro :(

thanks for the help guys!

Best idea is to listen to Industrial / Hard Techno / Schranz tracks. Most of which have pretty cool intros. It's a no-hoper trying with nu-style or raw style for that matter.

Grab some ideas from the 3 genres I listed and you'll get some cool things coming up :)

Check out stuff like;

Deceiver & Ophidian - Book of the Dead
Sei2ure - Pneumatic Transmission
Ruffneck & Synapse - Disturbance of Balance - I HIGHLY recommend this track. Probably the best intro i've heard.
Svetec - Elevator - The middle of this song has a pretty cool break with a female talking then this insane bass comes. Really cool imo

With an exception I think the mid intro of The R3bels - Music to Us is a pretty cool idea :)

try listening to some ophidian or TOA tracks, it's actually written musically and not just intro - melody - outro

Thanks guys! So far I've been able to check out some of the songs u guys gave me :D

I guess one of the best examples ive been constantly listening to is probably Equipment by S-dee, idk what makes me love it so much but i do! :D What could you guys say about creating something similar to that. One of my main concerns is structure :P

Thanks again!

I'm guessing the guy is trying to make a hardstyle intro, not an industrial hardcore song.

My advice is to listen to the songs that you think have good intros and analyse them thoroughly. Listen to every kick, base, sweep, crash ..etc.

Try to emulate it, or try to improve it. Do not copy as it will get you no where, but the best way to learn structuring of songs is to copy and then improve.

I'm not saying that they are musically superior, I am just giving him what he asked for rather than showing him irrelevant songs.

Theres nothing stopping him from doing an industrial hc esque into for hardstyle. Fuck, half the problem with hardstyle is that its way too structured.

I completely agree, but rather than just showing him all IHC songs, maybe show a few examples.

Can you give us some examples of intros that you like HardHitter? Just so we can have an idea on how to help..

I think you're talking about mid-intros, not actual intros. Non-regular intros (which I think everyone thinks you're talking about) are usually somewhat 'cinematic'.
