Hey, remember that TiLLT Gold sublabel? Scantraxx now owns that.

I guess this means that Scantraxx all but holds half of the scene? I wonder how Make You Dance feels about this? I get the feeling that they're in on this judging that the TiLLT Gold backlog (all 3 releases!) is available but it still doesn't make sense to me. For them at least; I'm sure Max Enforcer and Waverider would love the extra leverage that Scantraxx will give them.

MAX ENFORCER AND SCANTRAXX START NEW HARDSTYLE LABEL GOLD RECORDS

The hardstyle virus is spreading around the world and infecting crowds by storm. The worldwide respected record label TiLLT Gold has caused shockwaves due to releases as "Gold", "Epic" and "Be As One". In collaboration with the leading Scantraxx platform, the label has relaunched itself with the foundation of Gold Records.

Gold Records is founded to bring you euphoric hardstyle and has shaken off the TiLLT name. Gold Records' label manager Max Enforcer explains why he founded the new label. "We want the world to know that Gold Records is founded for the big euphoric hardstyle. A lot of people got confused of the name TiLLT Gold, as our former parent label is known for the rougher raw hardstyle and a lot of people thought that TiLLT Gold was similar to that. With the foundation of Gold Records in collaboration with Scantraxx, this will no longer be an issue."

The name of the label refers to Max Enforcer's hit record "Gold", which has been hailed as one of the best euphoric hardstyle tracks in recent history. Max Enforcer: "When I think of gold, I think of huge things. A gold medal leads to a higher state of mind: gold equals luxury, the good life, the sun, beaches and happiness. That is exact what we want to bring with the new label Gold Records. Massive melodies, uplifting sounds and raving atmospheres."

Gold Records will be launched with the release of the official Decibel 2011 anthem "Sound Intense City", which was produced by Zany & Max Enforcer feat. MC DV8, and will also be the homebase of the immense talented DJ/ producer Waverider. "We've got a few tracks waiting to be released. The label will mainly focus on Max Enforcer and Waverider releases, but we also have some great collaborations with other leading producers coming up. One thing is for sure: there's a Gold-en streak coming your way very soon!"

not really...

and as for what MYD think, i don't think they're too worried. they already held half the scantraxx artists on their bookings, i think it's all already interrelated.

the only reason this worries me is because ME will now apparently only make cheese. which is fine, but i like his rough stuff. i did always think tillt gold wasn't really tillt style though.

good news. means that TiLLT can focus on the proper stuff (or in the eyes of the jaded, the slightly better stuff than basic nustyle but still not proper hardsyle ahahhah) also- anything to seperate the shitty uplifting bollocks that should be trance!

I don't know if labels even make much off of releases but you might be right, the money for them is probably in being a booking agency.

Max Enforcer wasn't really a big non-cheese producer was he? He did the BLACK anthem last year and Rambo Is A Pussy with Tuneboy in 2009 but besides that most of his stuff in the past few years has been particularly cheesy. Mind you he doesn't really produce too much in the hardstyle scene anyway (I wouldn't either if I was as massively popular as EA) so it's about half and half. Gold was a pretty massive hit for him so I can see why he's going in this direction.

Is there anything scantraxx isn't in on?

Italian hardstyle, Digital Age, all their offical sublabels, now this. Only Fusion is holding out but they took their best act anyway...

Does anybody care about DMW anymore? Who do they have who is decent and still producing hardstyle?

Donkey rollers are way over the hill. They hardly produce anymore, too busy with all their other crap. Noisecontrollers were by far the best act on fusion- legendary producers and still on the up.

Meh. From memory, TiLLT Gold was created with the purpose of being a cheese label anyway. Who better to handle it than the undisputed experts in that field? Can't remember ever buying a release on Gold anyway, so this barely registers on the Give-A-Fuckometer.

No.
No they do not.

I'd still rather hear a set by DR than by NC. Even more so since this Digital Age thing started.

Doesn't really need the label though. DMW or not, he'll have a home somewhere.

Well, I disagree. But even leaving music aside, they were easily the biggest drawcard on fusion given that donkey rollers don't produce much any more and don't play much anymore. And this trend continues- Noisecontrollers are on the up, finally getting the massive gigs they deserve (closing dq1, all that other crap people care about), Donkey Rollers are doing what? I couldn't remember the last time they played, so I went on their website, and the last entry was a U.S. tour at the end of 2010 and Dominator in July 2010. They have no scheduled gigs upcoming (according to their site). In the last 39 months, the Donkey Rollers have released twice.

Donkey Rollers will always be the kings of hardstyle, but they are increasingly irrelevant in the modern scene. Their time has been, and new acts have taken their place. When I say "best", I'm talking about from a labels perspective, and I don't think anybody in their right mind could make an argument that the Donkey Rollers are a bigger act to have on a label than the Noisecontrollers, unless Pollen and Zany actually decide they want to devote time to it again. Which they won't. It's not like the Donkey Rollers have lost their skill, they just pretty much don't exist anymore.

or they don't want to sell out like everyone else :)

i like the way you make such speculative statements and portray them as facts. In terms of which act has more pulling power in the HS market, NC have been around since 2006, DR since 2001. I think that means that DR are more established and well known than NC. Besides, DR have cracked the US market, which the NC have not afaik.

and NC arent even on Fusion anymore. Digital Age is their home since Bas so desperately wanted to be on Scantraxx (which Digital Age basically is) so your point is incorrect imo :)
