Really? I'd love to hear it.
I'd like to hear Brennan's side of the story as well. Thera told me his side some time ago, but I never heared the other side.

Ok, back around about August 2009 Q-Dance were actually looking for finalists for the Dj Comp which would allow the djs to play at Purple stage in both Defqon Australia and Defqon Holland. Brennan Heart was a guest Judge for this competition, so in the meantime seeing as it was an intimate place to host an event with an international artist as a judge..I decided it'd be cool to meet and greet with Brennan.
So, I somehow managed to get to the upstairs "VIP" area and just chill out with a friend of mine, I also did had a vague understanding of who was in the Brennan & Heart project back then and I also knew full well of the project, but who was behind it, it didn't phase me at the time..but I had no idea that the two split from the group because of some sort of disagreement.

Anyway, oblivious to the fact that they didn't like eachother for whatever reason, I approached Brennan Heart whilst he was with his girlfriend, surrounded by Nik Fish, Chris Watson, Nitrouz and others and kindly introduced myself and thought i'd take a picture with him. He was happy to do so.
I had a very brief chat with him about the style he produces and other musically relevant stuff..then I told him I was speaking to DJ Thera just before I came. He rudely interrupted me and said "So what". Now in a way it is kind of weird on my part to just start up a random conversation like that, but curious to know, I asked why so?

He then out of nowhere flicked a switch and turned into this cynical person and said these exact words;

"I don't care about Thera or well, PETER, he didn't show up to the gigs we were playing at and never told me why he didn't show up, I don't respect him at all..not one bit". I, curiously, replied with "I honestly wouldn't have seen that in Pieter, doesn't seem like the type of guy who would blow someone off, especially a partner".

"It may seem like it, but he's not a really good guy in person. He's also trying to start up a record label named after him so that he can prove that he's worthy of going solo. I mean look at me, i'm playing for Q-Dance and big events and i'm playing here in Australia (Brennan language ORRRRSTRAYYLIA), who has he played with lately? No-one I can think of. His label is (something I didn't hear)"

I was actually really shocked, back in August last year I didn't know Pieter very well, I admit, but I knew he was a willing enough type of guy to stop everything and have a friendly chat with someone, I believe he still does anyway.

So I just cut the conversation short and was like yeah nice speaking to you. I arrived at the Gaelic club hoping to hear an awesome set by Brennan Heart, and left before he even got on stage to start playing.

To this day I loathe Brennan Heart.
You can sit there and say I made this whole thing up, I don't care but what I heard from him really made me hate the fucker.

I was a fan of the Brennan & Heart project, absolutely LOVED it. I put two and two together when I first saw Brennan Hearts name on a flyer, and thought hey it's the same guy. Yes it was a stupid childish assumption which in a way it was true anyway, but I hardly took notice of alot of the Brennan Heart releases. I liked 'One Blade' and a few others but lost interest as I was really into my trance tracks seeing as at that time (March - August 2009) I had a few gigs playing trance so I just focussed on that really..with the of occasion i'd buy some mp3s in the hardstyle genre.

LOL

That's a sick story. If you talk to Thera about Fabian, he just shrugs, makes a humorous comment and moves on.

Yeah he is really calm about that. If someone had done to me what Fabian did to him I would have seriously hurt him.

He doesn't discuss it as far as I'm aware. I just don't ask.

Well from what I can remember Pieter once told me that Brennan was doing all of the financial stuff for the Brennan & Heart project and it seemed to go well, but after a while it became clear that Brennan was actually giving himself more money from the bookings than he gave to Pieter, without ever telling Pieter about this. One day he found out and they split, Fabian took all of the studio equipment with him (which could be rightfully his, I don't know) and started using the "Brennan Heart" name.
He also released one (maybe more) unreleased "Brennan & Heart" track(s) by the name of "Brennan Heart" and gave no credit to Pieter.

I dunno it's a been a while ago since we had this conversation, so I don't know if this is accurate, don't take this for granted.

True story Strivo.
For instance Amen, Masterblade, Rush To The Floor and We Are Possessed are made by him.
(I made him sign my copies so that they are right, because the sleeves only say: "Written by F. Bohn")

tbh I think CTX is kinda lame, since it's so obvious that it's XTC spelled backwards.
And using XTC / other kinds of drugs in a pseudonym has been done a million times before and it's still uncool.

Ahh I see all kinds of B&H stuff being posted here, I actually decided not to post anything about that here anymore. At NYE 2009/2010 Fabian and me spoke and agreed to let all stuff in the past rest and we both are just focussing on our own path in the music business which is def. for the best ;)

To focus on negative stuff that is also in the past is just one big waste of time. I rather focus on the positive stuff like for instance the bookings i have this summer for Ground Zero and Dance Valley!

(never missed any gigs though :whistling: )

Ah that's fine, I understand if you want to just leave the past behind. Gossip's always fun and harmless unless it's about you, and seeing as you've both moved on it's probably for the best that we do too.

yeh im having the same problem. right now im using KnobTwizter which is obviously pretty damn generic. i want to change it to BeTa in the future (if i get signed eventually or something) which is the first two letters of my first and last name (BEn TAylor)kind of like pavo did. but the problem is that beta is a very common word and is almost certainly taken. should it be Be.Ta or Be/Ta or something like that? would that change anything legal wise?
